What's this site all about? Well, if you're here, you're either considering adding poetry to your curriculum or you're teaching it already and looking for some new ideas.  Congratulations!  Kids are some of the best poets around and they're always full of fresh ideas, as you well know!

I've broken the exercises down by grade level.  Simply click on a class and print the lesson.  If you are teaching a multiage class, either exercise should work with your kids.

Please feel free to email me with any suggestions or tips for what's working with your kids.  Don't forget to visit some of the links listed below and check out some of the great resources I've found.  Most are available through Scholastic and the others should be at your local library.  Be sure to sign my guest book.   Happy writing!
